Curved basic block.
Curved basic Zipblocks are essentially the same thing as straight basic Zipblocks, the only difference is that the sides are curved.
Using modern construction methods it is extremely easy to rapidly produce curved basic Zipblocks of virtually any radius "on the fly."
These blocks are really great in that you as you stack them they simply interlock and form a cylindrical structure.
One potential application for them is to use them to build round houses in third world countries. Another potential application is that they can easily be used to form marine concrete forms. Yet another...build reusable/recyclable barrels to ship products in.
Threaded rod.
Threaded rods are hollow rods that are threaded on the inside. They are primarily used to provide a means for tensioning rebar within walls. Threaded rods can also be used with screws to fasten items to block.
Fiberglass reinforced foam roofing panels.
This movie illustrates how fiberglass reinforced foam roofing panels can be built and how simple they are to install. Ideally panels would be 12 feet long and 18 inches wide. This size would cover a significant area of roof and yet the width ensures that the panel pins are never more than 18 inches apart. This ensures that panels can securely be fastened to roofs.
Some of the nice things about these roof panels are:
- They can be made out of biomass materials.
- They can be applied directly over existing shingles.
- They strengthen your roof.
- The can be made fireproof.
- They add a lot of insulative value.
- They can be coated with custom colored protective coatings.
- They are easy to repair. If they get physically damaged you simply cut out and replace the damaged section.
- They are virtually leak proof. Once you seal the gaps between panels with foam and then apply a finish coat to your roof.it's virtually impossible for water to penetrate.
- The gaps between panels can be used for runs of solar power cables or other necessary cabling.
- The panel pins within panel gaps enable heavy objects to be securely fastened to roofs. *This is not demonstrated within this particular movie.
- They extend the longevity of your roof.
- They save you money on your energy bills.
Ridge roofing panels.
These ridge roofing panels are real nice. Just drape them over the ridge of a roof, connect them into place, and then secure them. They can drape over just about any roof pitch.
